The Vice President of the KLA War Veterans Organization, Gazmend Syla, said that Xhemajl and Bashkim Emini, arrested by Serbia, were never KLA soldiers.

He said that Serbia cannot accuse the arrested Kosovars as members of the KLA, since they were not.

“In fact, today’s news, as veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization, has worried us because initially it was said that two citizens of the Republic of our country have been arrested for possible war crimes that occurred during the Kosovo Liberation Army war.”

“However, after the information we received from Rahovec, it turned out that those two citizens of our Republic have never been KLA soldiers. They do not exist in the KLA veterans’ database, so this was a small relief because Serbia can accuse them of anything else, but never for what happened in 1998-1999. Therefore, we received this news with concern,” Syla said in the Special Edition.

Syla added that citizens from Rahovec, now arrested in Serbia, lived outside Kosovo before the war, during the war, and after the war.
