Ed Kelce Reveals Taylor Swift Has Brought Out Surprising Side of Travis Kelce originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
When news broke on Monday that pop star Taylor Swift was going to appear on the next episode of the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by Jason Kelce and Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, it was the biggest trending topic on social media in quite some time.
Swift, who rarely does public appearance outside of her shows and scheduled media events, has been dating the younger Kelce brother for nearly two years, and her fans can’t get enough of their relationship.
The Swifties wholeheartedly approve of the couple, and so does the Kelce family. Jason has spoken glowingly of Swift on many occasions, and Page Six reported back in February that his parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, also both approve of the 14-time Grammy winner.
“A source exclusively tells Page Six that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s family ‘adores’ the pop superstar and thinks she’s a ‘perfect fit for Travis,’” the outlet reported. “Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, dad, Ed Kelce, and brother, Jason Kelce ‘would love to see Taylor and Travis spend their lives together.’”

Kelce is also reportedly close with Swift’s family, and it was reported that him taking care of her dad Scott after he had surgery “sealed the deal” regarding wanting to marry the 10-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher.
While their relationship seems to be flourishing, Ed Kelce, who called Swift “one of the most giving and caring people” he’s ever met in an interview with The Daily Mail, recently revealed during an interview with “Today” that dating Swift has also brought out a side of his son most fans don’t get to see.
“He is [romantic], and I think Taylor has brought a lot of that out,” Ed admitted.
With Swift set to appear on “New Heights” Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET, where she will reveal her new album “The Life of a Showgirl,” Ed was also asked if he’s heard any of her new music or if he knew what fans could expect from Swift’s 12th studio album (16 if you count the re-recorded “Taylor’s Versions” of “Fearless,” “Red,” “Speak Now,” and “1989.”)
“I know Taylor’s been working pretty hard since she stopped the tour, she’s taken a few breaks to watch some football games, but she’s been out in LA working on this album,” Ed added. “And my guess is, although I haven’t heard anything, my guess is it’s going to be like everything else she does — it’s going to be beautiful.”
