Uni Energy is interested in buying NIS Petrol Bulgaria, which owns 23 gas stations. The register of the Bulgarian Commission for the Protection of Competition shows that the application for approval was filed on 11 August.
Uni Energy is a Bulgarian fuel retailer owned by Ivajlo Konstantinov, a former member of parliament. Uni Energy is a partner in the company Avia Bulgaria, together with the Swiss company Avia International and the third partner, TTN Commerce.
The Russian company Gazprom Neft is developing its network through its Serbian subsidiary Naftna Industrija Srbija (NIS). In Bulgaria, it operates 23 stations under the brand name Gazprom.
According to local media, the sales process began in the fall of 2023, and at that time, the expected price requested by the buyer was around 60-80 million euros. Now the sector is mentioning that sales amounted to over 30 million euros, but according to Konstantinov, the price is much higher.
