Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is spending part of his summer holiday in Greece, accompanied by his wife Carrie and their four children. The family was recently spotted on the island of Evia, where Johnson appeared relaxed, taking a swim in the sea dressed in a navy-blue swimsuit.

Carrie Johnson, meanwhile, was seen enjoying the sun in a red one-piece, as the couple embraced a brief escape from political and professional life. This marks the family’s second getaway of the season. Just weeks earlier, Carrie Johnson had shared snapshots from their vacation in Italy.

Now in Greece, the Johnsons appear to be savoring the quieter moments of family life, with their trip coming only a few months after the birth of their fourth child. The visit underscores Johnson’s preference for Mediterranean destinations, offering him a reprieve from the spotlight back home in the UK.

    About Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson rose to prominence in British politics as the charismatic Mayor of London, a role he held from 2008 to 2016. During his tenure, he championed major infrastructure projects such as the introduction of the “Boris Bikes” cycling scheme and oversaw preparations for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Known for his colorful personality and populist appeal, Johnson leveraged his visibility to return to Parliament, becoming a leading figure in the Conservative Party and a prominent voice in the campaign for Brexit ahead of the 2016 referendum.

In 2019, Johnson became leader of the Conservative Party and subsequently Prime Minister, succeeding Theresa May at a moment of deep political uncertainty over the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union. He secured a decisive electoral victory in December 2019, delivering the parliamentary majority needed to “get Brexit done.”

His premiership, however, was marked by turbulence, including the challenges of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, economic pressures, and a series of political scandals that ultimately led to his resignation in 2022. Despite the controversies, Johnson remains a significant figure in modern British politics, credited with reshaping the UK’s trajectory in Europe and beyond.
