Menduh Thaçi’s DPA will not participate in the local elections in North Macedonia

The leadership of the Democratic Party of Albania decided not to participate in the local elections. Its leader, Menduh Thaçi, sees the elections as a political masquerade.
He also indicated that the DPA will not become part of this government, but also that all communication with the leader of the DUI, Ali Ahmeti, has been severed, as he has included, as he called them, the two sworn enemies of the DPA within the coalition.
“The central assembly decides that the Democratic Party of Albania refuses to participate in this political masquerade called elections and we will not have a candidate in these elections. In the absence of a desire for a substantial dialogue to advance the rights of Albanians, you have understood that the DPA refuses to participate in this current government. Mr. Ahmeti has knowingly entered and taken as allies two sworn enemies of the DPA who have spared nothing to harm this party and the assembly concludes that cooperation with Ahmeti and the DUI is completely impossible”, declared the leader of the DPA, Menduh Thaçi.
