After it was announced this morning that Uros Trifunovic will not play at EuroBasket for Serbia, another name has now been confirmed as unavailable.
That player is Alen Smailagic, who was unable to recover from the injury he had been dealing with since the start of preparations. He will now head to Bologna, where he will join Virtus at the beginning of their preseason for the new campaign.
With Uros Trifunovic and Alen Smailagic dropped from the extended list of 17 players, it is now clear that head coach Svetislav Pesic will have to cut three more players by the end of training camp.

Nikola Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Nikola Milutinov, Balsa Koprivica, Marko Guduric, Nikola Topic, Dejan Davidovac, Vasilije Micic, Filip Petrusev, Ognjen Dobric, Aleksa Avramovic, Stefan Jovic, Tristan Vukcevic, Vanja Marinkovic and Nikola Jovic.
Before the start of the European Championship, Serbia has one more game to play, and it will be the first spectacle, as the Belgrade Arena is sold out for the match against Slovenia, scheduled for Thursday.
In Group A at the EuroBasket, Serbia will face hosts Latvia, Turkey, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Estonia.
