John Cena will make his WWE return on week’s Smackdown and make an appearance on the weekly show. The 17-time world champion has travelled to Ireland, Dublin for Smackdown. Cena didn’t appear on last week’s Smackdown. He is expected to talk about his upcoming match with Logan Paul on this week’s show. Cena and Logan will square off at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31. This will be Cena’s first match since SummerSlam 2025.
Logan isn’t advertised for the show and the fans shouldn’t expect him to show up on Smackdown. The next week’s Smackdown is scheduled to take place in France. Cena is advertised for that show. Logan, despite not being advertised, could make an appearance next week. It’s a non-title match between Cena and Logan and it won’t be the main event.
Other matches announced for WWE Clash in Paris
Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris. LA Knight, CM Punk and Jey Uso will challenge him in a fatal four-way match. Rollins won the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Punk after SummerSlam Saturday main event. Punk defeated Gunther to win the title but he only held it for five minutes.
Roman Reigns will face Bronson Reed in a one-on-one match. Bron Breakker will be out there to support his teammate. Paul Heyman is expected to accompany both Rollins and Reed during their respective matches. Sheamus and Rusev will square off in a one-on-one match.
