Carney strikes partnership with Poland to deepen defence and trade ties

Prime Minister Mark Carney met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw, where he announced a new strategic partnership that will see Canada deepen its ties in trade, defence and energy with the fast-growing European economy. Carney is on a European tour that had a surprise visit to Ukraine and will also see him make stops in Germany and Latvia. (Aug. 25, 2025)
