At a time when climate change poses unprecedented challenges, decarbonization has become essential for sustainable economic growth. With the imminent implementation of the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and with ever-increasing demands from new regulations across Europe, investing in tools to measure and manage CO₂ emissions is not just a choice, but a necessity.
This journey towards an economy NetZero is essential to the identity of ProCredit Bank. Recognizing the critical importance of reducing carbon emissions and continuing our commitment to supporting businesses in this regard, we have committed to reducing our carbon emissions. Scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030 (compared to 2022), making it possible to achieve NetZero by 2050. We have also committed to engaging in information and collaboration with 28% of our customers by 2027.

We as a bank have invested in the first CO₂ Emissions Calculator in Kosovo, dedicated to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Thus, businesses can achieve significant cost savings through improved efficiency, achieve significant emission reductions, as well as a stronger focus on environmental responsibility, paving the way for a greener future.
This innovative application is based on GHG Protocol and IPCC guidelines, with the aim of providing a practical tool for accurately measuring the carbon emissions generated by business activities and production processes. The calculator offers customized calculations for various sectors, including:
– Commercial activities (transportation, catering, IT services, etc.),
– Agriculture (plant cultivation and livestock farming),
– Food industry,
– As well as other areas of the economy.

The calculator generates detailed emissions reports in both web and PDF formats that comply with relevant environmental regulations. These reports can be used to facilitate credit applications or for reporting to contractors requiring compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) requirements.
