The number of tourist arrivals in Bulgaria rose by 5.6% year-on-year to 2,004.7 thousand in July 2025, following a 3.1% drop in the previous month.
An increase in the trips with all observed purposes was registered.
The EU constituted 54.6% of the total visits to Bulgaria, with the largest number of visitors coming from Romania (28.1%), followed by Germany (16.7%), Poland (9.6%), and Greece (8.6%).
Meanwhile, arrivals from other European countries accounted for 37.2% of the total, mainly from Turkey (41%).
