The United States Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Aggeler, in an interview for the show “Macedonia in the Morning” on Radio Television of Macedonia (RTM), said that North Macedonia is like her second home.
βIt is difficult to put into words what Macedonia represents to me. This country has been my home for six years now β which for an American diplomat is a very long time. Macedonia is a country that I love, respect and wish the best for. One of the things that gives me energy every morning is the desire to do everything I can so that this love and commitment to this country translates into concrete results, into democratic development, stability and progress,β she said.
The American ambassador also mentioned the potential that youth have, adding that the future must be built precisely for young people.
“Macedonia has an extraordinary asset β its youth. It has an energetic, creative, and engaged young generation that deserves every opportunity to build the future of its country. The United States is here to support this journey,” Aggeler declared.
Aggeler stressed that Washington remains committed to supporting North Macedonia in its aspirations for full membership in the European Union, for strengthening democratic institutions, and for the fight against corruption.
