Retail sales in Croatia rose 1.4% year-on-year in July 2025, easing from a 7.5% jump in the previous month.

This marked the slowest increase since a decline in March 2023, as growth moderated for non-food products (7.6% vs 11.5% in June), automotive fuels and lubricants (3% vs 3.4%), and internet or mail-order trade (4.1% vs 5.5%).

At the same time, sales of food, beverages, and tobacco fell 1.9%, after a 3.6% rise in June.

On a monthly basis, retail sales contracted by 4.0%, the steepest drop since April 2020, reversing a 3.5% increase in June, as sales declined for all components.

For the January–July period, retail sales grew 3.8% compared to the same period a year earlier.
