Round Table Malta is hosting a charity poker tournament in aid of Dar Bjorn on September 27.
The tournament will be held at the Portomaso Casino and comes with a €10,000 guaranteed prize pool. It is being organised in partnership with PokerStars.
Dar Bjorn runs two neurological homes in Zebbug and Qormi, which host 43 people with conditions like ALS and Multiple Sclerosis. It was founded by Bjorn Formosa in 2017. The organisation is currently raising funds for Dar Bjorn Respite, which will serve as a short-term care home for people with neurological conditions.
Round Table Malta was founded in 1975 as as a non-political, non-sectarian social club open to young men focusing on social events, local charity and international cooperation.
Prizes for the September 27 poker tournament will include entry to the European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta main event, priced at €5,300, as well as entry into other EPT Malta events.
