Strong winds carry skydiver from North Macedonia to Albania, police help him

Albanian police have announced that border police have helped a North Macedonian athlete who was paragliding. The state police there have announced that the parachutist had taken off but, due to strong winds today, the athlete diverted his flight.
Albanian police have also said that the athlete is in good health and that he was taken to the border crossing in Qafë Thanë, where he then crossed into North Macedonia.

The Border Police came to the aid of a North Macedonian athlete who was paragliding.
Police services responded quickly and professionally, making it possible to locate him.
After receiving information from the commander of St. Naum, North Macedonia, that a parachutist had taken off and, as a result of strong winds, had diverted his flight and could have fallen in the village of Alarup, Pogradec, the services of the Korça Local Border and Migration Directorate immediately went to the address provided, made it possible to locate him and made contact with the athlete, citizen VP, who was in very good health.
The services of the Korça DVKM made it possible to send this citizen to the Qafë Thanë Border Crossing Point, who crossed into North Macedonia.
The athlete thanked the Police services for the immediate response and professionalism shown.
