Serbian opposition politician Ceromir Stojkovic has made a public appeal to Serbs in Kosovo, inviting them not to vote for the Serbian List in the local elections scheduled for October 12.

According to Stojkovic, the Serbian List no longer represents the interests of the Serbian community, but is a tool of Aleksandar Vučić’s regime, used to maintain political control even outside the territory of Serbia, KosovaPress reports.

He has also warned that starting in September, large protests will be organized in Serbia against the current regime.

The Serbian List was not certified by the Central Election Commission for participation in these elections at the last meeting, but now the Election Panel for Complaints and Appeals has returned this decision for reconsideration. After this, the two members of the Central Election Commission from the Vetëvendosje Movement have appealed to the Supreme Court, which yesterday announced that it has refused to review this appeal as inadmissible.

Serbian lawyer Stojkovic demands that Serbs in Kosovo be removed from the Serbian List, otherwise he stressed that they will be abandoned by Serbia.

“Serbs in Kosovo should know that if they vote for the Serbian List, they will be abandoned by Serbia. They will have no connection with the new government and the future politics of Serbia. If they vote for it, they are electing criminals, corrupt people, puppets of Vučić, and we in Belgrade will not tolerate this. If they decide to stay with criminals, then they are the same as them. My message to them is: leave the Serbian List, let them sink together with Vučić, and elect normal people who want normal relations with Kosovo and Belgrade,” Stojković stressed.

Serbian politician Cedomir Stojkovic emphasizes that the current Serbian regime under the leadership of President Aleksandar Vucic is trying to regain control over the state and citizens.

By September, Stojkovic warned of large protests against the Serbian regime.

“The situation is exactly as I expected, because the regime has actually already felt it, so the regime no longer controls Serbia and is trying to regain control over the state and the citizens. For this reason, Vučić is now using every force at his disposal to stop the protests, to instill fear in the citizens, so that the citizens, out of fear, stop protesting. But this will not happen. He knows that everything will escalate, that we will have a big demonstration from September when people return and take their children to school. From that point on, we will have a big protest and strong clashes with Vučić’s forces. Vučić knows this and is now trying to prevent it by instilling fear in the citizens,” the Serbian lawyer says.

In an interview with KosovaPress, the Serbian politician emphasized that seeing the great strength of the people against Vučić, everything within the ruling party is collapsing.

The Serbian lawyer said that now there is no support for Vučić from the people, but only from hooligans, criminals and terrorists.

“If we see Andrei Vucic on the streets, it means that the regime is in big trouble. Now he has sent the most prominent figures of the regime to the streets to maintain discipline among his loyalists, because from the beginning, Vucic has ruled by force and blackmail. That’s how he managed to gather thousands of members of his party, because people were afraid, under pressure and blackmailed. The moment someone else shows greater strength, Vucic’s system collapses. Now, all those who were forced to be part of his party are seeing the greatest strength in the people of Serbia and for this reason everything within the ruling party is collapsing. In this situation, Vucic sends his most important people, like his brother, who is actually his de facto deputy, to restore discipline among the loyalists. But now no one will be part of the ruling party, no one will support them, no one will go out on the streets to fight for “Instead, Vučić is forced to pay hooligans, criminals and even some terrorists to give the impression that he has support. There is no support for Vučić, there are only paid hooligans, criminals and terrorists,” he emphasized to the Kp.

Serbian politician Cedomir Stojkovic calls Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic a liar. According to him, Vucic aims to calm the people by saying “I will leave power in a year,” but as he said, this is a lie.

“The first thing I learned decades ago is that I don’t trust a liar. Vučić is a liar and any normal person should not trust him. Everything he says is a lie and he aims to calm the people, telling them ‘calm down, don’t make trouble, in a year I will leave power.’ But this is a lie and no one believes it,” he said.

The Serbian politician emphasizes that the West is involved in the protests in Serbia. He emphasizes that the Serbian people want to live like in Western countries and not according to Vučić’s way.

“The West is very involved in the protests in Serbia, because the West is a good part of the world, the West has the rule of law, the West has good standards… The West is very involved, because, you know, we have seen some Hollywood movies, we have seen how people live in France, in the United Kingdom, in Germany, and we see that this is better, and that in Serbia it is bad. Therefore, we make the choice that we want to live that way, we do not want to live in Vučić’s way,” declared Serbian lawyer Stojković.

According to Stojkovic, the Serbian president has built his political career on nationalism and inciting interethnic divisions.

He points out that Vučić, panicking over the loss of power, is trying to divert public attention by creating tensions.

“Aleksandar Vučić is a nationalist and from the beginning of his political career he came to power by creating hatred and enmity between nations, that’s how he became a politician. Now, panicking over the loss of power, he is trying to shift public attention elsewhere. He tried to create conflict between Bosniaks and Serbs in southern Serbia, but that failed — instead, Bosniaks and Serbs united against him,” he said.

He said that even with the arrest of former KLA soldiers, Stojkovic presented it in the media as if something dangerous was happening, to tell the Serbian people “don’t fight against me, but against the Albanians, they are the real danger.”

“Everything you see on the streets now, all those who supposedly support Vučić, do not support him, they are there for the money. Over the past few years, he has given public contracts worth millions of euros to hooligans and fan leaders, making them very rich. They now defend his power only for the money. Others get cash for every day they are on the streets. So we do not see his supporters, but the company he pays,” he said.
