Greece, N.Y. — Greece Police have arrested three suspects in two separate stolen vehicle investigations, one of which involved a car stolen out of South Carolina.
Officers identified a stolen car at the Greece Ridge Mall via a license plate reader (LPR) on Friday. After confirming the car was stolen out of Webster, police took two suspects into custody.
Dayshaun D. Wilson, 18, and a 17-year-old were charged with criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Wilson faces an additional charge of criminal trespass.
Wilson was brought to the county jail for arraignment in CAP court. The 17-year-old was released with a juvenile appearance ticket.
Officers were alerted by a LPR to another stolen car on West Ridge Road on Monday morning.
Police initiated a traffic stop without incident and took the driver into custody. They confirmed the car was stolen out of South Carolina.
Matthew R. Ryan, 33, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic violations. Ryan has been sent to the county jail for arraignment in CAP Court.
The car is valued at approximately $3,500.
