Savannah Chrisley is getting candid about her brother Chase Chrisley’s struggles with alcohol.
In the second episode of the family’s new Lifetime series, Chrisleys: Back to Reality, which aired on Monday, September 1, Chase, 29, claimed he gave up alcohol.
“Since I’ve stopped drinking and stopped partying — like, I’ve got to do everything I can to protect my mental health,” the reality TV star said in his confessional.
However, Savannah, 28, cast doubt on whether he was really sober.
“Chase says that he’s sober now. Do I believe it? No, because if he was, he wouldn’t look the way that he looks,” she admitted. “It’s just the reality of it. He does not look healthy. When cameras are on, he can turn it on for as long as he needs to, and that’s the scary part.”

Savannah also revealed she wanted her older brother to go to rehab before his January simple battery arrest at a bar in Atlanta. (He was taken into police custody and later released on a $10,000 bond.)
“I have tried to help him before he got arrested. I had set up for him to go to a treatment facility,” Savannah explained. “I had already bought him a plane ticket, we had already gone through the whole intake process, and then he told me to ‘go f**k’ myself.”
In the episode, Chase told the cameras that he’s “never been to rehab” because he doesn’t think he’s ever “needed it.”
“I mean, like, I’m not the type to, like, drink every day and wake up wanting a drink or craving a drink, or anything like that,” he shared. “Just like, whenever I go, I go.”
