EU: We expect Kosovo and Serbia to swiftly fulfill their commitments within the Dialogue

The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, mediated by the European Union since 2011, aims to normalize relations between the two countries, but continues to remain blocked.
Although agreements such as the Ohrid Agreement in 2023 have been reached, their implementation has stalled.
The last meeting for the dialogue was held in June 2025 in Brussels, between Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petković with the mediation of Peter Sorensen, but this meeting did not produce any concrete results.
For FrontOnline, a European Union spokesperson stated that the EU, as the facilitator of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, is working with the parties towards a comprehensive normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, addressing all outstanding issues.
“On the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, the European Union, as facilitator of the Dialogue, is working with the parties towards a comprehensive normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, addressing all outstanding issues,” an EU spokesperson said.
According to the spokesperson, the EU expects Serbia and Kosovo to swiftly fulfil their commitments under the Dialogue, given the direct link between comprehensive normalisation and concrete prospects for their EU membership aspirations. The path to the European Union for both sides runs through the EU-facilitated Dialogue.
