Kosovo Customs has prevented the entry into the country of a significant quantity of suspected counterfeit goods, as part of a control carried out on a shipment presented for import through the Port of Durres.

According to the official announcement, during the examination of the cargo, a total of 7,500 products were identified, which bore the marks of a well-known trademark, raising strong suspicions of infringement of intellectual property rights.

The seized products include: 1,250 phone chargers, 5,750 phone charging heads and 500 Bluetooth headphones and earphones.

Customs reports that the goods were packaged in a way that did not indicate the exact contents on the outer packaging, but upon opening it was found that they contained suspected counterfeit products.

“Kosovo Customs remains committed to protecting the market and consumers from counterfeit goods and will take all legal actions in accordance with its competences,” the statement said. /Telegrafi/
