Nikola Vučević also took the floor Wednesday, dropping 31 points during Montenegro’s loss. After the game, Vučević said this would be the final time he suited up for Montenegro’s international team. He will continue his NBA career, however.

At the conclusion of Wednesday’s play, four Round of 16 matchups have been confirmed, which tip off Saturday, September 6, including:

Notably, France will not have San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama or Minnesota Timberwolves big man Rudy Gobert for the tournament. Wembanyama missed time last year due to a blood clot and is prioritizing rest this offseason. Gobert did not deal with a major injury last season, but also cited rest as a reason for skipping EuroBasket 2025.
