After a bit of silence from Ubisoft, The Division Resurgence is apparently making like its name and resurging with a closed beta test starting on September 9th. Odds are that many of our readers shouldn’t get their hopes up, though, as this is a regional beta test starting in… Romania. You’re statistically unlikely to be in Romania. Sorry. It’s nothing nefarious; Ubisoft Bucharest is actually one of Ubi’s largest studios.
If you tested the game back in December 2023, it’s a similar build to begin with; the goal here is to get the ball rolling once again and get players in to test the game and test server stability.
Perhaps worth noting: Players will be rewarded with a larger amount of in-app currency for any purchases made during the game’s closed beta with monetization active. But you’ll get 150% of the currency you buy back in the full release up to $300 spent, which… does seem a little bit like a way to encourage players to buy premium currency on an unreleased game, sure. Something worth considering for our Romanian readers before hitting the purchase button.
