Gjergj Dedaj has harshly criticized Albin Kurti, saying that he is attempting to rewrite Kosovo’s history and create a “Third Republic” that has no connection to Kosovo’s state-building values.

Dedaj said that Kurti, not being part of historical processes such as the Rambouillet Conference, the Ahtisaari Plan and the declaration of Independence on February 17, 2008, is spiritually suffering from the lack of participation in those important moments.

“Albin Kurti, former Prime Minister and Member of the Assembly of Kosovo, being burdened by the feeling of not being part of the freedom and independence of Kosovo, including the pre-war period, the heroic war of the KLA, the Rambouillet Conference, the Ahtisaari plan and that of the declaration of Kosovo’s Independence by President Thaçi on February 17, 2008, suffers spiritually and morally for not having been a participant in the historical processes nor in the independence and state formation of Kosovo.”

He accused Kurti of his populist and Stalinist policies, which are leading the country in an uncertain and anti-Western direction.

“It is no coincidence that with his coming to power in 2020, with his fatalistic, populist and Stalinist policies, he is attempting to rewrite history which has already been written in his absence, and which happened before his violent coming to power,” Dedaj added to Blic.

According to Dedaj, Kurti’s concept of the “Third Republic” is an attempt to jeopardize Kosovo’s path, by plunging the country into a swamp of the Stalinist and dictatorial world.

He added that to prevent this danger, Albin Kurti must leave power and no longer be voted as Prime Minister of Kosovo.

“Therefore, his anti-Kosovo concept of the “Third Republic” is also part of his crazy political agenda, truly thinking that he is the “father” of Kosovo, as the “functional illiterates” and the failed apolitical electorate call him. Kurti is likely on a dangerous and dubious political mission and agenda. He is deliberately forgetting that the Republic of Kosovo has been recognized by over 115 democratic countries in the world, while Kurti’s “Third Republic” is likely to be recognized by Serbia, Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela and some other anti-Western and dictatorial country, as Kurti claims to align Kosovo in the swamp of the Stalinist world, of crime, corruption, dictatorship and Stalinism,” he said.

“Therefore, to prevent this dangerous adventure of Albin Kurti, he must leave power and must not, under any conditions and under any circumstances, be voted as Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo,” he added.
