Gobble it up

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — People were encouraged to have lunch and help a family at Gobble It Up with United Way.

It was hosted between 11 and 1 at all eight area Hornbacher’s locations.

For a suggested $10 minimum donation, you could enjoy a hot, Jennie-O turkey sandwich on a freshly baked Hornbacher’s bun, with Old Dutch chips, a Kemps frozen treat, and a Pepsi or Aquafina beverage.

The event started 18 years ago to support programs to prevent homelessness, feed the hungry, and more.

“It’s just a part of each one of us that works at Hornbacher’s in what we can do to help the community. And to me it’s just really close to my heart and I absolutely love it. I love doing this outside every year,” said Pamala Seivert, Store Director at Osgood Hornbacher’s.

All the funds will support United Way’s goal of reducing hunger and homelessness.
