The United Nations today adopted the so-called “Two-State Solution” Palestine-Israel Resolution.

The resolution was initiated by France and Saudi Arabia, and passed with 142 votes “for”, 10 “against” and 12 “abstentions”.

North Macedonia, unlike Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia and other European countries, voted “abstain”.

Macedonia was included in the list of countries such as Ethiopia, the Republic of Congo, Guatemala, the Fiji Islands and Ecuador.

French President Emmanuel Macron thanked the countries that voted “for” the two-state solution, while saying that it is the responsibility of all of us to make peace happen in the East with two states – Palestine and Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that “there will be no Palestinian state.”
