Farah Khan and her vlogs are the recent obsession for social media users. The filmmaker, with her cook Dilip, has been making headlines for visiting celebs and giving interesting anecdotes about different movies. Recently, Farah and her cook Dilip reached famous entrepreneur Ashneer Grover’s house, where they spoke about the filming of Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan‘s popular song Gerua and its shoot.
While having a light-hearted conversation, Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri discussed their recent vacation to Iceland, and Farah revealed that the only Hindi song filmed in Iceland is Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s song Gerua. While talking to Ashneer and Madhuri, Farah stated, “Kitna mehnga hai Iceland! (Iceland is so expensive)” and continued, “Sabse mehngi jagah (The most expensive place). We shot, only 2 people; the budget was Rs 7 crore. Only for that one song. Iceland is the most expensive place.”
About the song
Sung by Arijit Singh, Gerua became one of the most romantic songs. The song from Dilwale was filmed on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The song was shot in a cold climate where the team faced several challenges.
The title, which now has millions of views, was not something Shah Rukh Khan liked at first. Amitabh Bhattacharya, while talking about the song, shared with PTI, “Initially, Shah Rukh was sceptical about the word ‘Gerua’. It is not a commonly used word in film songs, so he thought, will it work, will it be accepted, how will the audience react to it? He liked the word and said it’s nice to hear but just that it is used less.”
“Honestly, while we were making the song, we were not consciously wanting it to be a blockbuster. After the song was recorded and shot, we saw a basic rough cut. Then we realised that this is a grand song with great chemistry of Shah Rukh-Kajol,” he had shared.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s on-screen pairing is iconic in Bollywood history. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan, and Dilwale are a few of their much-loved movies.

In their latest episode, the duo jetted off to Delhi for a special meet-up with none other than Shark Tank India star and former BharatPe MD, Ashneer Grover, who now hosts the TV reality show Rise and Fall.
The visit wrapped up on a warm note as the Grovers showered their guests with gifts. Farah received outfits and handcrafted décor pieces, while Dilip was given a crisp new shirt. Never one to miss an opportunity to tease, Farah ribbed him again: “Dilip, most of your shirts are gifted by others!”
