Tahiri: Anyone who weakens Kosovo’s ties with the US even slightly commits grave treason

Senior AAK official, Besnik Tahiri, has reacted after yesterday’s decision by the US to suspend the planned start of the Strategic Dialogue with Kosovo following the actions and positions of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, which, according to the US, have raised tensions and undermined stability, Express writes.
Tahiri recalled the US contribution to Kosovo’s freedom to oppose tendencies to relativize Kosovo’s connection with the United States of America.
According to Tahiri, anyone who damages Kosovo’s relationship with the US commits grave treason.
Full post:
Kosovo’s connection with the United States of America is not just a bilateral relationship or a strategic partnership, but a blood tie.
Why, because in 1999, America stopped the bloodshed, the ethnic cleansing, and brought freedom, and that truth is engraved in our national identity.
Now, when tendencies are emerging to relativize this connection and reduce it only to the political contexts of the moment, we must remember that our relationship with the US is not based on experiments and calculations, but on sacrifice, history, mutual trust, and blood ties.
Now what, in my opinion:
1. This is a moment for deep reflection, from those who brought us Kosovo to this day. VV must ask themselves, where have we brought the country and where are we going as a state?
2. And the rest of us who think differently must tell the people with more courage that an independent, democratic, and multi-ethnic Kosovo is a lifelong project from which the Albanian nation benefits the most.
For me, any nebula that attempts to weaken this connection and anyone who even slightly damages Kosovo’s relations with America commits grave treason, since this relationship has been blessed by God.
In short, the USA is the past, present, and secure and bright future of Kosovo.
