Just three days after last Wednesday’s Russian drone attack against Poland, which forced NATO to deploy more air defenses on its eastern flank, today Saturday at 18:10 CET, the Polish Government Security Center has issued an air attack alert, with this text:

    Attention! RCB Alert

Air attack threat. Take extreme precautions. Follow the instructions of the authorities. Wait for further announcements.

The RCB alert was sent to recipients in the following counties: Chełm, Chełm, Krasnystaw, Łęczna, Świdnica, Włodawa (Lublin Voivodeship).

Follow official announcements from the following services: State Fire Brigade, Police, and Operational Command of the Armed Forces Branches.

Here you can see the official message in Polish:

Sirens have sounded in Chełm and Świdnik announcing a possible air attack, something that has not happened in Poland since the Second World War:

This alert forced the closure of operations at Lublin Airport temporarily this afternoon. The alert was canceled at 18:54 CET.

Additionally, at 16:31 CET, the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command announced the deployment of Polish and allied aircraft in response to a new Russian drone attack against Ukraine near the Polish border. This deployment ended at 6:35 PM CET.

Besides, footage has been released today showing the deployment of nuclear-capable Iskander M missiles on a road in Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave, between Poland and Lithuania. Here’s a video of the deployment, posted by @albafella1 at 1:41 PM CET today:

Cyber Boroshno has geolocated this deployment on the E28 highway, north of Kudryavtsevo, 35 km north of the Polish border and 58 km south of the Lithuanian border. I wonder what those who claimed that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was not our problem and that we should not worry about the expansionism of Vladimir Putin’s dictatorship will have to say now.
