The number of building permits issued in Serbia fell by 4.6% year-on-year to 2,532 in July 2025, following a 2% increase in the previous month.
Of the total permits, 86.0% were for buildings and 14.0% for civil engineering projects.
Within buildings, 81.8% of permits were for residential structures and 18.2% for non-residential ones, while among civil engineering projects the majority (76.1%) were for pipelines, communication, and electric power lines.
New construction works accounted for 79.5% of the total anticipated value, with the largest activity expected in Beogradska oblast (27.2%), followed by Borska (19.2%), Šumadijska (10.5%), and Južnobacka (8.1%).
