Japan leads Explora Journeys’ 2027-28 sailing programme as the brand embarks on its first-ever Asian voyages, taking passengers to destinations across Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Cambodia, while simultaneously offering luxury Mediterranean itineraries to Italy, Turkey, and Egypt. Explora Journeys has unveiled its highly anticipated 2027-28 sailing programme, marking a landmark expansion for the luxury cruise brand as it embarks on its first-ever voyages to Asia aboard Explora III, while simultaneously introducing Explora V in the Mediterranean. Between September 2027 and May 2028, Explora Journeys will operate up to 100 sailings, visiting nearly 200 destinations across 59 countries, establishing itself as a leader in premium, worldwide cruising.
The centerpiece of the brand’s Asian debut will be Explora III, which will operate 28 sailings across 47 destinations spanning Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. This represents the company’s first step into the dynamic and culturally rich regions of East and Southeast Asia. Passengers can expect overnight stays in major metropolitan hubs and natural wonders alike, including Tokyo and Osaka in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai in China, Naha in Okinawa, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, and Bali in Indonesia. These itineraries are carefully timed to coincide with major cultural events and festivals, such as the bustling Chinese Golden Week in Shanghai, a peak travel period renowned for its vibrant celebrations, as well as the Chinese New Year in January 2028. Explora V, meanwhile, will commence operations in December 2027 with sailings across the Mediterranean. Covering 27 destinations across nine countries, this vessel introduces a new chapter in the brand’s European offerings.
