Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Rashit Qalaj has stated that the Serbian community in Kosovo lives under pressure and terror exerted by Belgrade and its security mechanisms.
On FIVE on TV Dukagjini, Qalaj said that there is no Serb in Kosovo who does not obey Belgrade’s orders, due to the pressures and forms of intimidation that, according to him, the Serbian state exerts.
According to him, not even the acting Minister for Communities and Returns in Kosovo, Nenad Rašić, escapes pressure from Belgrade.
“We know that the Serbian List is controlled by Belgrade. I found a Serb who does not obey Belgrade. I am sorry that it is not like that (Nenad Rashiqi also obeys Belgrade). There is no Serb in this country who does not obey Belgrade. There were people before him who were part of the Kosovo government. This one (Rashiqi) was also part of governments. I do not say this by chance, there is no Serb in Kosovo who does not obey the state of Serbia. I know what I am talking about.
The Serbian state, the Serbian president, the security mechanisms terrorize the Serbian community in Kosovo, everyone. And terror is not obeying the institutions of Kosovo. And they have mechanisms to put pressure on. In addition to stopping at the border, interviewing, imprisoning. They have other mechanisms, they remove people from work… they stop their aid. So they terrorize. This is the mechanism that the Serbian state uses continuously. While another part that is involved in politics, namely the Serbian List, is part of these terrors that they carry out in the cities of Kosovo. Whom our security and justice mechanisms must unmask…”, said Qalaj.
