Kosovo third in the world for security, Kosovo Police: Clear evidence of commitment to public order and security

Kosovo is ranked among the safest countries in the world and first in Europe for citizens’ sense of security and trust in law enforcement institutions, according to the latest international report Gallup Global Safety Report 2025, published in early September.
In this prestigious report, Kosovo has achieved 94 points out of 100 in the Law and Order Index, ranking third globally, behind Tajikistan (97 points) and Singapore (95 points). This assessment places Kosovo ahead of countries known for their high level of security, such as Iceland, Norway, Austria and Switzerland.
Another significant indicator is the fact that 89% of Kosovo citizens say they feel safe walking alone at night in the areas where they live – one of the highest percentages in the world and in Europe.
The Kosovo Police emphasizes that these positive results are the fruit of continued commitment to guaranteeing public order and security, close cooperation with citizens and other security institutions, as well as continued support from international strategic partners.
“This assessment is clear evidence of the commitment of the Kosovo Police to providing a professional, effective and accountable service to all citizens without distinction,” the official Police response on social media states.
The Kosovo Police remains committed to protecting life and property, providing security and the most professional, effective and accountable service to all citizens without distinction.
