KPMG in Romania has announced a series of senior leadership moves, effective 1 October 2025.
Alexandru Șoaică has been promoted to Partner in KPMG’s Audit Delivery Academy (ADA) Leadership Team. He joined KPMG in Romania more than 14 years ago and has been closely involved in the development of ADA, particularly in building connections with several Western European markets.
In parallel, KPMG Legal – Toncescu și Asociații has strengthened its litigation practice with the appointment of Alexandru Slujitoru, an experienced dispute resolution lawyer with more than 18 years of practice. He has represented clients from sectors such as energy, retail, oil & gas, heavy industry, and agriculture before Romanian authorities and courts, as well as European institutions, in cases ranging from VAT refunds and excise duties to annulment of taxation decisions and elimination of double taxation.
Also from 1 October, Ramona Jurubiță begins her third mandate as Country Managing Partner of KPMG in Romania and Moldova. She first took on the role in 2018 after a long career in KPMG’s Tax and Legal department and experience in industry. In addition, she currently serves as Deputy Chair of KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), contributing to the firm’s regional strategy.
Commenting on the changes, Ramona Jurubiță said: “These appointments reflect our focus on bringing strong expertise into key roles. I congratulate Alexandru Șoaică on his promotion and welcome Alex Slujitoru to the firm. I look forward to seeing their contribution to the continued development of our services.”
