Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of North Macedonia, responsible for good governance policies, Arben Fetai, received the Minister of Public Administration of Montenegro, Marash Dukaj, during his official visit to the country.

As announced by the Cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister Fetati, the meeting, which was held with the aim of deepening bilateral cooperation, emphasized the importance of strong and friendly relations between the two countries, which serve as a model for regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.

Fetai and Dukaj noted that North Macedonia and Montenegro enjoy excellent bilateral relations, which can be further advanced through joint initiatives in key areas such as public administration reform, digital transformation and information security. These sectors are of vital importance for the modernization of state institutions and the improvement of services to citizens.

“Our relations share common goals and values. Through the exchange of experiences and expertise, we can achieve significant progress in reforms and strengthen regional development,” declared Deputy Prime Minister Fetai.

Fetai and Dukaj agreed that deepening cooperation will be achieved through joint programs and projects, which will not only strengthen ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro, but also support sustainable development in the entire region. This includes initiatives for harmonization with European Union standards, which is a common goal of both countries on their path towards European integration.

The official visit of Minister Dukaj confirms the will of both countries to continue building bridges of cooperation. In the coming period, an intensification of joint activities is expected, including workshops, regional conferences and projects financed by international partners. These initiatives will strengthen the partnership and contribute to the economic and social progress in the region.

“This meeting marks a further step towards strengthening ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro, with a clear vision for a shared future based on cooperation, innovation and sustainable development,” the statement said.
