The study found that Massachusetts and Connecticut residents are the most likely to place sports wagers, while New Hampshire residents are the least likely.

It also found that among fans who watch many or all New England Patriots games, 29% place bets on sports, compared with just 7% of those who are not Patriots fans at all.
Pollsters said between Sept. 17 and 23, 3,671 residents of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut completed the online survey.
