President Rumen Radev has announced that the Republic of North Macedonia is ready to offer assistance to Bulgaria in dealing with the consequences of the floods that have affected many regions of the country.
“I thank President Gordana Siljanovska for the constructive telephone conversation and for the condolences expressed for the victims of the floods in Bulgaria, as well as for the expressed willingness of the Republic of North Macedonia to provide support in managing the consequences of this disaster,” the head of state wrote on his “X” profile.
Intense rainfall has caused major flooding, blocked roads, and damage to infrastructure in many areas.
Part of the population has been left without electricity and access to some regions is limited.
So far, four deaths have been confirmed.
