The comedian beloved for his ‘Uncle Roger’ persona tied the knot with lawyer Sabrina Ahmed in a stunning intercultural celebration in Portugal
Comedian Nigel Ng and lawyer Sabrina Ahmed’s love story could easily be one for the big screen—equal parts romance, drama and comedy tied meaningfully with a heartwarming happy ending. The couple’s four-day celebration in Sintra, Portugal, was nothing short of a technicolour production, complete with a Sangeet ceremony, a Chinese tea ceremony, vows at Seteais Palace, and—wait for it—an Indomie station in ode to the groom’s late night snack craving.
“We wanted the whole wedding to be a love letter to colour,” says South Florida-born entertainment lawyer Sabrina, who first met Ng in November of 2022. “I remember how surprisingly serious and guarded he was. I liked learning how important it was to him to take care of his mother, and I noticed the background of his phone screen was a picture of his family. He felt grounded and family oriented, but still throwing in jokes to keep me on my feet,” she recalls.
“Nigel and I love interior design, architecture and colour. The pastel landscape of Lisbon and Sintra really embodied the feelings we wanted to evoke that weekend.”
