Benjamin Sesko did not take kindly to a joke made about Manchester United while on international duty with Slovenia.
There is no hiding from the fact that Manchester United have had a poor start to the 2025/26 season, with just three wins from a total of eight matches.
Ruben Amorim has never faced as much pressure in his career, but the United head coach is sticking with his preferred 3-4-2-1 despite widespread criticism.
One of the silver linings so far this season has been the encouraging signs shown by some of the new signings. Bryan Mbeumo won United’s Player of the Month award in August and has two goals to his name, while Benjamin Sesko scored his second goal for the club in the 2-0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford.
Still, there’s no denying that it’s been a rocky start for every player in the dressing room, considering the results suffered already this season.

Sesko is one of 18 United players on international duty this month.
Slovenia will take on Kosovo and Switzerland during the break before Sesko returns to face Liverpool as a United player for the first time.
Sesko hasn’t scored in his last five games for Slovenia, so he will be aiming to break that goalscoring drought in October.
According to Slovenian outlet Ekipa, Sesko did not appreciate it when he was the brunt of a joke during Slovenia’s first training session this month.
The United striker walked onto the field, where Svit Sešlar and Sandi Lovrić were passing the ball to each other. Sešlar immediately kicked the ball towards Sesko as soon as he saw him, but it flew past the 22-year-old, who wasn’t expecting it.
“Here, Beni,” Sešlar shouted as he passed the ball, before adding: “He’s just not used to being given the ball right away at United.”
It was a cruel joke that Sesko decided to ignore as he focused on his training.
Benjamin Sesko agency to reward Man Utd fan
We now live in a world where footballers are represented by agencies, who in some cases, even control their clients’ social media accounts.
Sesko is a client of Pro Transfer Agency, run by Elvis Basanovic, who is looking to reward one of the many passionate fans who celebrated the striker’s first goal at Old Trafford, as seen in the Instagram post below.
This is an example of a harmless PR, perhaps a footballer looking to give something back to the fans, but hopefully his legacy is more than that when he reflects on his time at the biggest club in the world.
Sesko has arrived with big expectations on his shoulders. He’s already proven to know where to be inside the box, which can only be described as encouraging.
