      No way.

It was always a non-story drummed up by a desperate Tory party attempting to use, at worst, a few thousand pounds of accidental fraud to cover up them stripping the country for billions.

    2. The tories have already costed half their manifesto on the money they’d invented was owed by her

Cool. What about the missing covid billions, or the hundreds of millions that went on super yachts? What about shorting the economy for the canary wharf crowd?
What about selling off the Olympics infrastructure for beans to mates? Taking donations from every dodgy oligarch and towel head in the world?

That seems a bit more important than not paying a thousand quid of tax because of some odd tax law?

    4. >Greater Manchester Police say, having “completed a thorough, carefully considered and proportionate investigation”, officers concluded “no further police action will be taken”.
      >
      >However, the force adds that “matters involving council tax and personal tax do not fall into the jurisdiction of policing” – and details have been shared with HMRC.

      >_GMP has liaised with Stockport Council and information about our investigation has been shared with them. Details of our investigation have also been shared with His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).”_

Would you look at that, their statement makes very clear this was a result of complaints to them directly from a Tory MP.

Nothing corrupt looking there at all.

Could not be better timed. Now all election she will be rubbing their noses in it.

Its also likely to be todays biggest news from the campaign trail so will get a fair amount of coverage to a public that is switching on too politics.

It’ll still rumble on a bit because the cops don’t tend to decide who does or doesn’t owe tax.

    8. So you can throw any accusation out around election times for the benefit of a party, waste police time and no one gets any kind of punishment for doing so??

    9. Rishi screaming into a pillow as he realises he called an election hoping this wouldn’t happen.

So we have spent more on this waste of time investigation than she was alleged to have kept?

The Tories wasted tax-payer money raking up muck that leads nowhere.

    12. Proof that the police have rolled over to political pressure from Labour……

      /S

Never was a real story,I hope someone gets done for wasting police time

I was hoping shed be stepping down, shes just another Diane Abbot, just throws out slogans and has no understanding of what shes saying. I dont think i can trust keith and ange to efficiently run a bath. How am i supposed to vote for labour now? I would literally take corbyn over keith right now and i laughed at his policies last time around.

    14. Wtf?!??! The deep state is in action! We should to Westminster with our serfs and pitchforks!

Quelle surprise. What next Tories? Starmer miss a couple of weeks of Cubs Subs in 1974……..?

Well that is a disappointingly damp squib. What am I going to do now with the hundredweight of popcorn I ordered in and the pages of schadenfreude-based comments for Reddit that I’ve pre-prepared?

Looking forward to seeing Daly’s evidence now the investigation is over.

    18. Clearly going to be in the minority here, but it seems sketchy as hell to me.

From what I understand she was married by 2010 and claimed her primary residence was still her old house despite husband and kids living at his house. Until she sold it. In 2015. That’s 5 years where she apparently chose not to live with her husband, and I had seen it reported that she put different positions on different forms.

The number is small, but I don’t see how HMRC hasn’t challenged this position, considering what they go after with many other people.

    19. I can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics of cope from the Tory cult members.
