Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his country’s support for any plan to stop the Israeli “genocide” in Gaza.

“We fully support any project that will permanently stop the massacre and genocide that has been taking place in Gaza for two years,” Erdogan said in a speech in the Black Sea city of Rize, AA writes.

He added that Turkey hopes that the new ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will lead to lasting peace, tranquility and security in Gaza and other Palestinian territories.

The Turkish president also called on Israel to implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement it signed and to end its aggressive policies that threaten the region and the security of its people.

Otherwise, about 200 American troops have begun arriving in Israel to set up a coordination center aimed at facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid, as well as logistical and security assistance to Gaza.

They are not expected to enter the territory. /Telegraph/
