Residents of Sault Ste. Marie have an opportunity to contribute directly to their community, as the City Council opens applications for two key advisory groups

City Council is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the following boards and committees:
- Environmental Sustainability Committee
- Public Library Board
Appointments are until Dec. 31, 2026. Information regarding Boards and Committees can be found at www.saultstemarie.ca/boardscommittees.
Individuals are asked to complete an application form (available on the City website: www.saultstemarie.ca/boardscommittees), including details outlining relevant experience or expertise.
Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act and will be held in strict confidence to be used solely for the purpose stated above. Further to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the application form and supporting material of applicants shall be circulated to members of City Council and will not be disclosed for use by any third party, and will only be disclosed, as required, through the open discussion of Council when considering applicants.
Applications will be accepted by the City Clerk until 4:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.
