LA VETA, Colo. (KKTV) -The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment confirmed a case of measles in an out-of-state resident who traveled to Huerfano County in October.
Health officials said the individual visited Ranch House Inn at 1012 Cherry Street in La Veta from October 12 to 15. If you were exposed, they said symptoms may develop through November 5.
The individual also reportedly visited La Veta Country Store at the Valero at 200 North Main Street on October 12 from 8 to 11 a.m., and if you visited at that time and were exposed, health officials said you may develop symptoms through November 3.
According to health officials, anyone who may have been exposed should monitor symptoms for 21 days after exposure and attempt to avoid gatherings or high-risk settings.
