The second season of the reality TV series returns on Nov. 4 and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
The competition was filmed in nine episodes, but they won’t all be released at once. Their release will be staggered, with the first and second batches dropping one week apart, followed by the finale, which is scheduled to air on Nov. 18.

Mimicking the latest season of the drama series, the second season of “Squid Game: The Challenge” will give contestants the opportunity to vote to end the game after every round.
If the game ends, the remaining contestants will split the money evenly. If the game continues, the prize will increase, but more contestants will be eliminated.
That is, contestants will have the choice of splitting the accrued prize or risking it all for a chance to win more.
What is ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’?
“Squid Game,” the viral Netflix drama that took the world by storm in 2021, entered a new dimension with a reality TV version of the Korean series.
The first season came out in 2023. Now, there’s is a second season coming in November and third season in the making.
Unlike in the drama series, contestants aren’t actors but actual people competing for a $4.56 million cash prize.
In the competition contestants face each other in a set of easy games that many played as kids, such as battleship and red light, green light. Through every challenge, a portion of contestants gets eliminated until there is a sole survivor.
Besides winning challenges, there’s a need to be socially strategic, given that the game includes a few opportunities in which players could vote out other contestants.
