Renowned Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja will be returning to Malta to perform at his Christmas concert and will be joined on stage by acclaimed Italian singer-songwriter Marco Mengoni.
The concert will take place on December 19 at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali.
Bringing together soaring vocals and festive classics, this year’s concert promises a unique blend of contemporary and operatic artistry.
The evening will feature Calleja and Mengoni alongside the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Aurelio Belli, with the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir also taking part.
“The festive season carries a special kind of joy, and I am honoured to share the stage with Marco Mengoni for this celebration,” Calleja said.
“Together, we hope to create an evening filled with warmth, emotion, and the beauty of music that unites us all.”
Hailed as one of the finest tenors of his generation, Calleja has enjoyed an international career spanning more than 20 years.
Mengoni is a renowned Italian artist with more than three billion streams, 85 platinum discs sold, multiple chart-topping albums, and two victories at the Sanremo Music Festival.
Organised by Greatt, with the support of Visit Malta, the Tourism Ministry, and Bank of Valletta, the Christmas concert has become a highlight of Malta’s cultural calendar.
