Andorran progressive death metal act Persefone have announced a new live album titled Live In Andorra which will be released on December 5 through Napalm Records. The record is a one-off orchestral show in the National Auditorium of Andorra which took place in May 2024. It showcases the band’s collaboration with the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra (National Classical Orchestra of Andorra). The band have also released the first single from the upcoming album titled “Living Waves.” The song derives from their 2017 album Aathma.

The band share their thoughts about “Living Waves”:
“‘Living Waves’ has to be one of the most important songs in our catalog. At least, that’s what we feel from the crowd every time we perform it live. Maybe it’s because we had the chance to work with Paul Masvidal, one of our biggest inspirations in music. Maybe it’s because of the deep meaning of the lyrics, or just because it has its own particular energy. This performance really makes the song shine, and it was a no-brainer for us to share it with everyone as one of the singles for the release.”

“It is not everyday that you can celebrate the history of your band with such a unique set of circumstances. Playing at home after so many years, in front of our people, at the National Hall, with the National Orchestra, was something we never imagined would even be a possibility. But when the opportunity appeared, we just couldn’t say no, and we knew we wanted to have this whole experience immortalized for everyone to take part in it. This show is a way of coming full-circle, from a crappy rehearsal room and our first shows in clubs to being able to perform at such an iconic place in our country.
