Brian Jackson, the pioneering US soul and jazz-funk musician, will make his Greek debut with a live performance at Gazarte Ground Stage on Friday, October 31.
Known for his groundbreaking collaborations with American poet and singer Gil Scott-Heron in the 1970s, Jackson helped define socially conscious music with classics like “The Bottle” and “Winter in America.”
Born in Brooklyn, Jackson is celebrated for his expressive piano and flute work. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he has worked with Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire and Stanley Clarke, and his music has been sampled by Tupac, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.
In 2025, Jackson released “Of Corners and Bridges”, a heartfelt tribute to Brazilian legend Milton Nascimento recorded with members of Azymuth, and “Now More Than Ever,” a dynamic collaboration produced by Masters at Work featuring contributions from Moodymann, Omar and Raheem DeVaughn.
The evening opens with Jacaranda, an Afro-pop ensemble known for world-infused jazz-funk. Doors open at 8 p.m., showtime 9.30 p.m. Tickets start at 28 euros from more.com.
