Kapsch TrafficCom has opened four new toll plazas to traffic along Serbia’s Moravski Corridor, advancing the country’s road infrastructure development in the central region.
Powered by Kapsch TrafficCom’s SmartTOLL technology, these plazas are part of a larger contract encompassing 150 lanes across 16 toll plaza locations. The company will deliver 120 of these lanes by the end of 2025. At the Prilipac toll plaza alone, more than 16,000 vehicles pass through daily, demonstrating the substantial scale and impact of Serbia’s tolling operations.
The toll plaza openings are an upgrade for the 112.4 km Moravski Corridor, a critical transportation route through the heart of Serbia. Kapsch TrafficCom’s ongoing support continues to strengthen Serbia’s tolling infrastructure as part of the broader modernization of the national road network.

“The implementation of the tolling systems is proceeding smoothly and on schedule. The deciding factors are our local expertise coupled with the international and know-how from global teams, which allow us to react quickly and comprehensively to any requests,” says Ivan Katalina, sales manager for the Balkans at Kapsch TrafficCom.
The Moravski Corridor connects the country’s east-west axis while integrating with the north-south corridor linking Hungary and North Macedonia, establishing a key component of the broader Balkan transportation network. It joins the A1 and A2 highways and provides essential connectivity between Belgrade, Serbia’s capital, and the Zlatibor mountain region – a popular tourist destination.
