SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The President of Summa Health Medical Group is accused of sending revenge porn.
Dr. Vivek Bhalla was arrested at his Copley home on Oct. 18.
He is accused of sending a pornographic image of an adult woman to multiple people.
Copley police confirmed that Bhalla knew the victim, but she is not one of his patients.
Bhalla is charged with one count of dissemination, a fifth degree felony.

According to court documents:
- The victim is over the age of 18
- The victim can be identified from the image
- The victim is in a state of nudity or engaged in a sexual act
- The image was disseminated without consent
- The image was disseminated with intent to harm the person in the picture
Bhalla appeared in Barberton Municipal Court on Oct. 20.
The judge set his bond at $5,000 and Bhalla paid the required 10%.
His case has now been bound over to the Summit County Grand Jury.
Summa Health Medical Group released the below statement:
“We are aware of the allegations against Dr. Bhalla and take them very seriously. We are in the process of gathering additional information and he is currently on leave from the organization. This is a private matter and out of respect for the legal process and all parties involved we will have no additional comment.”
19 News reached out to Bhalla’s lawyers. They sent us a statement that says, “We are actively investigating the allegations in the criminal complaint. A forensic examination of the evidence has not occurred. Once that evidence is available, we will comment further. ”
