Still, wine production and sales in Slovakia form an industry worth millions of euros. In this Index ranking, based on 2024 revenues, we take a closer look at the country’s biggest players.
The ranking includes companies that officially list wine production as their business activity. Data are drawn from the Finstat website. In addition to financial results, we also highlight ownership structures of Slovakia’s largest wine producers and sellers.

10. Plodoovoč – Contexo

In previous years, Plodoovoč – Contexo was known for rapid revenue growth. From €1 million in 2021, its sales doubled in 2022 and surpassed €5.4 million in 2023. Last year, however, revenues dropped by almost half. The company offers over ten wine varieties and is majority-owned by Olha Volodymyrivna Tyutyunnikova from Uzhhorod, Ukraine, with smaller stakes held by the Ukrainian company Plodoovoč Už and Boleslav Lešo from eastern Slovakia.

The ninth-largest wine seller in Slovakia, Vindevie, achieved modest growth last year, reaching €3.1 million in revenue and over €55,000 in profit. The company has no official website and is not listed in the Register of Public Sector Partners. It is fully owned by the Bratislava-based Reality Management company, run by architects Jaroslav and Janka Procházková.
