It’s not a secret that Jared Butler has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and this so far has not stopped him from playing professional basketball.
However, according to the Serbian news outlet “Nova.rs” the player has not passed the first medical exams after signing with Crvena Zvezda.
That’s why Butler will not be available in the upcoming EuroLeague game against LDLC ASVEL, and probably the Serbian club will contact more doctors in order to get the player re-evaluated.
Due to his condition, in June 2021, Butler was referred to a fitness-to-play panel by the NBA and was not permitted to play or practice; however, he got cleared one month later and has 148 NBA games under his belt.
It has to be noted that no official information has been announced yet by the club about the absence of the player in the upcoming game.
