NORWAY, Maine (WGME) – Officials say it appears the careless disposal of smoking materials sparked a fire that destroyed a home in Norway.
Crews responded to a fire at a home at 25 Summer Street on Monday around 10:50 p.m.
One person was home at the time of the fire and was able to get out safely.
No injuries were reported.
The fire destroyed the home.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the fire was likely caused by careless disposal of smoking materials.
